![]() Or a negative RT-PCR Test (or similar NAAT test) - 72h before boarding, or ![]() We are ready to go to Portugal in 2 weeks!!!! The last 2 paragraphs were taken from TripAdvisor Forum, posted a few days ago. We have our CDC vax cards, will do a rapid antigen test with CVS 24 hours prior to departure from home, will fill out Passenger Locator Form, and have arranged for testing on return to US (assuming US still requires it in May) through our accommodations. The Travel Ready Site with UA, which has to be filled out for checkin, also has the Passenger lLocator form that is necessary. They also said CVS and Binax Emed tests were accepted for boarding flights to Portugal. I also checked with United Airlines (our flights). Binax with EMED IS proctored so I'm assuming it would also be valid for entry. I checked with CVS and their rapid antigen is considered "laboratorial", which, as pharmacist explained is same as "proctored" basically. Melnq8.The first paragraph is from the site. Or maybe a month from now they will have gotten rid of the testing requirements? I think some other EU countries no longer require testing, after the wave peaked, though the EU countries still have high levels of new cases currently. I know Walgreens says they offer antigen testing but not in my part of the country, the closest near me in their scheduling site is a few states away, like 800 miles.īe nice if someone who bought a 6-test kit tried one and see if Portugal accepted. Antigen tests aren't necessarily much cheaper than PCR tests either because they're mainly offered by private labs which charge $$$, especially for fast turnaround. In the US, we don't have a lot of antigen testing at pharmacies here. I can't imagine what the turnaround time was during the peak of the wave when there was a lot of demand for tests back in December and January. So while the test is free here in the US fro Rite Aid, I'm not sure what their turnaround time is, especially on samples collected over the weekend. Reason is, I'm departing on a Tuesday and 72 hours would be Saturday. Man it would be great if they accepted the proctored eMed tests.
